A few important reminders:

Monday, October 12: No school in recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Wednesday, October 14: Z Passes become required for all district bus riders.

Thursday, October 15: Grandparents Lunch

Friday, October 16: School is in session! We are working toward 100% attendance, and qualifying classes will have a chance to win an ice cream party.

Bus 10 students will ride Bus 13.

Bus Passes will be required to ride our school buses effective October 14, 2026. To obtain a bus pass students or parents/guardians can contact your school site front office to orfer one. The pass will be delivered back to the front office.

Bus 8 suffered mechanical issues while waiting to pick up students at Pojoaque Valley Middle Scool. students have been transferred to Bus 104. please expect a 20 minute delay. Thank you for your understanding.

Friday night lights the Elks versus Gallup. Our high school band sang the national anthem great job.

Fall Cheer Camp has been a success!! See you all tomorrow at the Football game vs Gallup. Kickoff is 6pm and our little cheer campers will perform at halftime.

Good job boys soccer...2 to 2 tie with St. Michael's today. Also good job girls soccer with a 1-1 tie with Robertson.

Superintendent Segura and her Team visited Pojoaque Valley High School today and spoke with so many awesome students and staff about the school year thus far. Students were so welcoming and proud to share what they were learning and teachers were proud to demonstrate their shifts they have made in their pedagogy to support students. Thank you to Principal Marano, Assistant Principal Rendon, the staff, educators and students! Great things happening at PVHS!

Congratulations to Ms. Baca on completing the Pojoaque Valley School District School Bus Driver certification program. We are grateful that she chose the Pojoaque Valley Valley School District to be a part of.

POJOAQUE VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE – EL RANCHO AREA BUS 9 ROUTE – MORNING UPDATE October 1, 2026 County Road 84 between Adenois Lujan Road and Dry Creek Road will be CLOSED this morning. DETOUR INFORMATION Traveling EAST on County Road 84: Traffic will be diverted up Adenois Lujan Road to NM 502. Traveling WEST on County Road 84: Traffic will be diverted up Dry Creek Road to NM 502. Bus 9 may experience delays due to the road closure and detour. Please allow additional travel time and use caution in the El Rancho area. Dirt and unpaved roads are especially hazardous for school buses. Heavy rainfall can quickly cause erosion, deep mud, unstable road shoulders, and flooding at arroyo crossings. For the safety of our students and drivers: • School buses will not attempt to cross flooded arroyos or roadways covered by moving water. • Drivers will not enter roads determined to be unsafe or impassable. • Bus routes, stops, pickup times, and drop-off times may be delayed, modified, or temporarily relocated. • Families living along dirt roads or near arroyo crossings should be prepared for possible transportation changes. • Parents and guardians should not attempt to cross flooded roadways to reach a bus stop. Never drive around barricades or attempt to cross a flooded roadway. Turn Around, Don’t Drown. The Pojoaque Valley School District Transportation Department will continue monitoring road and weather conditions and will make transportation decisions based on the safety of our students and staff. POJOAQUE VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT WEATHER & TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY Effective: September 29, 2026 Parents, Guardians, Students, and Staff: Excessive rainfall is expected in our area on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, which may impact morning and afternoon bus transportation. Heavy rainfall may result in flooded or washed-out roads, unsafe road conditions, road closures, and delays along some bus routes. The safety of our students and drivers remains our highest priority. Bus drivers will not enter or cross flooded roadways or travel on roads determined to be unsafe. Routes and bus stops may be temporarily adjusted when necessary. Parents should anticipate possible delays in student pickup and drop-off times and are encouraged to allow additional time at bus stops. Transportation staff will monitor road and weather conditions throughout the day. District leadership visited Pojoaque Valley Middle School last week and observed staff and students collaborating and engaged in strong Layer 1 instruction. Students were excited and eager to share their learning. Thank you to Principal Salipan, and her amazing staff and students!

Congratulations to our cross country runners, Christiana Branch for taking second place at the Bosque Varsity meet. Congratulations to Makaya Gonzales for taking 10th place at the Bosque JV meet this past weekend. Go Elkettes!!
