Board Member Attendance at End-of-Year School Events

The Open Meetings Act requires all meetings of a quorum of members of the Board held “for the purpose of formulating public policy, or for the purpose of taking any action within the authority of the board,” must be open to the public at all times, except as otherwise provided in the constitution of New Mexico or the Open Meetings Act.

Please be advised that members of the Pojoaque Valley School District Board of Education may be in attendance at various end-of-year school events. While a quorum of Board members may be present, the Board members will not discuss any official board business, the Board members will not be formulating public policy, and no action will be taken by the Board members at these public end-of-year school events.

This is not a notice of a public meeting and is not required under the Open Meetings Act.
