This evening we celebrated 29 seniors at the PVSD Native American Banquet with their families and friends, Tribal Leaders, School Board Members, and District and School Leaders. We are so proud of them and their accomplishments!
Pojoaque Valley School District is pleased to announce the selection of Carl Marano as the new principal of Pojoaque Valley High School for the 2026ā2027 school year!
Mr. Marano brings 28 years of public education experience. His dedication to student success, academic excellence, and building a positive school culture makes him a strong addition to our school community.
As a resident of the Pojoaque Valley, Mr. Marano shared his excitement about serving the community he calls home and working alongside students, staff, families, and community members to help every student and staff member reach their full potential. He plans to host a meet and greet with students, staff, families, and community members during the summer and at the beginning of the school year.
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Marano to Pojoaque Valley High School!
Last week, Superintendent Segura, Board President Quintana, and Director Velasquez were the panel of judges who taste-tested some fantastic and creative burgers made by the amazing culinary artists in Ms. Laura Smith's class for the Build-a-Burger competition at PVHS!

New Mexicoās free childcare program may apply for qualifying families, but an application and approval process is still required.
We encourage families to register early to secure a spot!

This morning, we learned that today will be the final day of the NM Allstars before- and after-school program for this school year. As a result, the NM Allstars program will not be available next week, during the final week of school.
We know this late notice may be inconvenient for families, and we appreciate your understanding. Please plan accordingly for student pick-up and supervision next week.
Looking ahead to the next school year, PVSD is excited to partner with "Champions" for before and after-school programming. A registration flyer will be shared with families soon!

Today, students from Pojoaque Valley Intermediate School competed in the 2026 Jemez Mountain Electrical Co-op Foundation Scholarship Spelling Bee with their Teacher/Sponsor, Ms. Annabelle Vigil and Principal, Ms. Cherie Romero.

Congratulations to our new Junior National Honor Society inductees at Pojoaque Valley Middle School! These students demonstrate excellence every day and we are so proud of them and their families and educators!
We celebrated our most appreciated PVSD educators and staff this week with a baked potato bar and a gift for all they have done this year to provide caring and supportive environments for our students. Our school district is a special place to teach and learn and we are proud of the work we have done this school year to improve outcomes for our students. šŖš¼šš¤šš»š
