Superintendent Segura and her Team visited Pojoaque Valley High School today and spoke with so many awesome students and staff about the school year thus far. Students were so welcoming and proud to share what they were learning and teachers were proud to demonstrate their shifts they have made in their pedagogy to support students. Thank you to Principal Marano, Assistant Principal Rendon, the staff, educators and students! Great things happening at PVHS!
District leadership visited Pojoaque Valley Middle School last week and observed staff and students collaborating and engaged in strong Layer 1 instruction. Students were excited and eager to share their learning. Thank you to Principal Salipan, and her amazing staff and students!

Superintendent Segura, Associate Superintendent Vigil, and Director Sena recently visited the Sixth Grade Academy, and WOW! Teaching, learning, engagement, and meaningful student collaboration were evident in every classroom.
A special thank you to Principal Lovato, her dedicated staff, and the amazing sixth-grade students for creating such a welcoming, engaging, and inspiring place to learn! 💚🤍
📊 Our 2025–2026 NMPED School District Report Card is here!
We are pleased to share progress in two key areas: districtwide English Language Arts proficiency increased from 36% to 38%, and science proficiency increased from 16% to 28%. These gains reflect the hard work of our students and staff.
The report card also shows that 94% of our high school students participated in college and career preparatory courses or assessments, above the state rate of 90%. Our reported four-year graduation rate was 82%, compared with 81% statewide. The graduation figure reflects the Class of 2025.
We also have work to do. Math proficiency declined from 13% to 11%, and regular attendance remains a priority. We are using these results to strengthen instruction and work with families to support consistent attendance.

NWEA Testing Reminder
NWEA testing will take place Wednesday, August 19, Thursday, August 20, and Monday, August 24, beginning promptly at 7:30 AM. Please make sure students arrive on time with a fully charged Chromebook and are ready to do their best. These assessments provide important data that teachers use to guide instruction and better support student learning. Attendance during testing is extremely important!
