Mr. Cordova begins his first year as Principal and Head Boys Basketball Coach for the Pojoaque Valley Elks. He has 30 years of coaching experience at high school, college, and professional levels, and was named one of the top 100 Most Influential Head Coaches by the NAIA in 2022. Mr. Cordova, a native of Northern New Mexico, graduated from McCurdy High School in 1993 and played College Football at Fort Lewis College from 1993-1995. Mr. Cordova emphasizes that his teams prioritize academics over athletics and that sports reveal character rather than build it. He believes “building a quality program starts by uniting the community,” and that has been Mr. Cordova’s building block as an administrator and head coach.

Ms. Deena Aggad proudly serves as the Assistant Principal at Pojoaque Valley High School, where she is dedicated to fostering a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. With experience as a middle school science teacher and Dean of Students, Ms. Aggad brings a well-rounded perspective to her leadership role. She is passionate about building strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and believes that collaboration and compassion are key to helping every student thrive. Ms. Aggad is committed to ensuring that Pojoaque Valley High School continues to be a place where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
