As a proud parent and now grandparent of Pojoaque Valley Schools, I have dedicated over 25 years to this district. My journey began as an Instructional Assistant, eventually leading me to the classroom as a sixth-grade teacher. I later transitioned to the middle school, where I spent five years teaching math and AVID, before moving to Pojoaque Valley High School. There, I spent 11 years teaching math, Financial Literacy, and AP Computer Science, while also serving as the head of the math department. In addition, I have contributed to education statewide through my work with the New Mexico Public Education Department as a curriculum reviewer. I hold a bachelor's degree from Northern New Mexico College and recently earned my master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University. Last year, I returned to Pojoaque Valley Middle School to begin my administrative internship under Mr. Mario Vigil. Following his transition to Central Office, I stepped into the role of Interim Assistant Principal, working alongside Ms. Salipan. There is truly no place I would rather be. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first experience in administration and am committed to continuing my growth as a leader. My goal is to mentor and support both teachers and students by fostering strong communication, ensuring accessibility, and maintaining a safe, student-centered environment. It is an honor to serve the incredible teachers, staff, students, and families of Pojoaque Valley Middle School. I look forward to continuing our work together and watching the children of our valley grow into confident, capable, and successful members of our community.
